DC Public Library's King Week events

The opening event, Street Art and Jazz, will feature King-era jazz music from artists with DC Jazz Festival (Akua Allrich and Herman Burney), and a reception for Critical Exposure’s photo exhibit that will be up during the whole month.

For the Powerful Words, Masterful Strokes event, Lifepieces to Masterpieces artists are going to be doing a live triptych painting to MLK speeches, that youth producers have remixed in our studio.

Then there’s the “world premiere” of the MLK Streets Project film, that Straight No Chaser/One Common Unity did with teens last year.

Lots of good stuff happening!
